Fiat Key Replacement in the Lehigh Valley

Fiat came back to the U.S. in 2011 with the 500, and every one of those cars uses a chip key. We cut and program keys for the 500, 500L and 500X where the car is parked. Give us the year and model when you call so we can confirm coverage before we drive out. Our car key replacement page shows the other makes we handle.

With fewer Fiat dealers around than there used to be, getting a key through one can mean a long trip and a wait. A mobile locksmith is usually the shorter path.

The standard Fiat key is a flip key. The blade folds into the remote, and it’s laser cut with a groove along its face.

That groove can’t be copied on a regular key machine. We cut it on a high-security cutter in the van, then program the chip so the car accepts it.

Lost or Stolen Fiat Keys

If you’ve lost every key to your Fiat, we can make one without the original. The cuts come from the lock or the key code, and the programming is done through the car. We’ll ask for a driver’s license and a document showing the car is yours.

The immobilizer in a Fiat reads the chip each time you turn the key. No match, no start. That’s also what lets us shut out a missing key.

During programming we can erase the lost key from the car’s memory. We can rekey the door locks as well, so the old blade no longer turns.
