Special high security car keys are now being made for newer Hyundai vehicles. These new keys no longer have the cuts on the top and bottom like the traditional keys. The cuts are now precision milled from the outer edge of the key, forming a track the internal components of your car’s locks use to allow the lock to turn with that key.  Traditional key cutting equipment can no longer be used for these high security keys. These keys now require special, high security key cutting machines that are capable of making the correct and proper cuts. Lost/stolen Car Key Replacement

If your key was stolen or is lost, we always have replacement car keys in stock and we are always ready to replace that missing car key. Hyundai models that are made after 1998 now come with an extra layer of security installed, called the immobilizer.  A special chip has also been inserted inside your car key which allows it to communicate with the immobilizer. The key will need to respond with the recognized code or the car will not start even if the key is able to turn in the ignition.

When programing a new car key for you, we can erase the old key. This prevents anyone from being able to use your car if they have stolen or found your key. Additional security can also be added by changing the wafers located in the door locks which we will gladly do. The lost key will not be able to turn in the locks if you decide to have the wafers changed.
