Acura Keys Cut and Programmed at Your Car in the Lehigh Valley

We replace Acura keys on site, wherever the car is parked. That covers the Integra, TL, TSX, MDX and RDX, along with most other models. Our van carries the cutting machine and the programmer, so the whole job happens in your driveway or parking lot. It is one of the car key replacement services we do most.

A lost Acura key usually means a tow to the dealer and a wait for parts. We skip the tow. Tell us the year and model when you call, and we bring the matching key blank or fob with us. Most Acura jobs are finished the same day.

Acura moved to laser-cut keys earlier than most brands. The cut runs down the side of the blade as a groove, and a standard hardware store machine can’t copy it. We carry a high-security cutter built for that style of key.

Newer models such as the MDX and RDX use a push-to-start smart key. We program those too, and we can pair a replacement remote if only the buttons have stopped working. More on that is on our key fob replacement page.

Lost or Stolen Acura Keys

With every key gone, we make a new one from scratch. We read the lock or pull the key code, cut the blade, then program the chip to the car. Bring a driver’s license and a document that ties you to the vehicle, such as the registration or insurance card.

Most Acuras built since the late 1990s have an immobilizer. A chip in the key head sends a code to the car, and the engine won’t start without the right one, even when the blade turns the ignition. That is why a hardware store copy opens the door but leaves you stuck.

If the key was stolen, ask us to erase it from the car’s memory while we program the new one. The old key then can’t start the engine. We can also rekey the door locks so it no longer turns in them.

Broken Acura Keys

Keep the pieces of a snapped key. We can usually read the cuts straight off the broken blade, which saves the step of decoding the lock.

If part of the blade is stuck in the ignition or door, don’t dig at it. We do broken key extraction and cut the replacement on the same visit.

Call (484) 891-1922 with the year, make and model for pricing and availability. Tell us where the car is and we’ll add an estimated arrival time. We travel throughout the Lehigh Valley for Acura keys. The full list of towns is on our locations page.

Acura Models We Make Keys For

The Acura models we get called for most are listed here. If yours is missing, call with the year and model and we’ll check availability.

Models

MDX, RDX, TL, TLX, TSX, ILX, RL, RSX and Integra.

What to have ready

We’ll ask for the year and model, the spot where the car is sitting, and whether any key still works. That is enough to tell you pricing and availability before we drive out. We confirm lawful possession of the car as part of the job.

Common Acura Key Questions

Can you make a spare Acura key from the one I have?

Yes. With a working key in hand we copy the cut and add the new key to the car. It is the simplest key job there is, and a spare now saves a lost-key call later.

What if the Acura key is in the car and the doors are locked?

Then you need the door opened, not a new key. We unlock the car and you carry on. Details are on our car lockout page.

What type of key does my Acura MDX have?

The year and model answer that. As a rough guide, a car that starts with a button uses a smart fob, and one that starts with a turn of the key uses a bladed key.

The buttons on my Acura remote stopped working, but the key still starts the car. What should I do?

Try a fresh battery first. If that doesn’t bring it back, the remote may need reprogramming or replacing. Our key fob page goes through it.
