Lexus Key and Smart Fob Replacement

Lexus was early to both laser-cut keys and push-button start. An older Lexus has a thick blade with a groove milled down each side and a chip in the head. A newer one has a smart fob with a small emergency blade inside. Our van has the high-security cutter and programmer for both.

Lost or Stolen Lexus Keys

With no keys left, the new key is cut from the lock or the key code and then registered to the car’s immobilizer. We ask for a license and the registration or insurance card first.

If the key was stolen, we can delete it from the car while registering the new one. That key will no longer start the Lexus. Rekeying the door lock closes the last gap.

Broken Lexus Keys

On older Lexus keys, the plastic head cracks and the chip can fall out without you noticing. If the car suddenly won’t start with a taped-up key, that’s often why. Bring every piece you have. We can read the blade and tell you if the chip survived.
