The Lehigh Valley is home to some of the best men and women police officers anywhere and we thank them for their service.
However, there are a few ways that you and your neighbors can keep where you live safe as well.
Talk to Each Other
One of the best ways to keep your neighborhood safe is to speak with your neighbors. The more you know about each other, the easier it is to spot something weird going on in the neighborhood. Be sure to let your neighbors know when you’re going on vacation or will be away for an extended period of time. Exchange phone numbers!
Start a Neighborhood Watch or Use Social Media
This is the next step to talking to each other. See if you local police department can help with a local neighborhood watch. If that’s not possible, use Facebook groups or social media like Nextdoor to keep in touch and communicate wherever you are.
Install a Security System
There’s no better way to keep a tab on what goes on around your own home than by installing a security system. The more that are installed in your community, the safer it will be!
Be sure to contact us at 24/7 Emergency Locksmith for more information on your lock needs.

More and more people open their cars with a key fob via keyless lock entry. It’s almost second nature at this point. Think about it, when is the last time you’ve physically opened your car door with a car key?
So you’ve moved into your new house only to find the former owner didn’t have a key to the back door lock. Or you’ve simply given out too many copies of a particular key and can no longer keep track of how many people have access to your property. Maybe you’ve taken over a business office and have no way of knowing who has keys and would like to limit access to those you want to give it to.
Easter may not be the first holiday you think about when it comes to lots of driving. But, it’s still a holiday on which a large number of families travel to or from the Lehigh Valley.
How many times have you been in a hurry to drive somewhere or really needed to get in the house, but oops, can’t find your keys? Our guess is dozens of times. Recently there have been many products coming out to solve this issue every person faces on a daily basis. Some of the best have come from sites like Kickstarter or indiegogo and are becoming wildly popular.
There are a variety of reasons you may need to prep your car (or a car) for long term storage. Perhaps you’re going away for an extended period of time or your college age child is off to school for a semester and they won’t be using it. Whatever the reason, there are a few tips you can follow to make sure your car is safe during a longer than usual period of no use.
