The Five Stages of Grief After Locking Your Keys in Your Car

We’ve all been there. You just locked your keys in your car. Your put your head down and look at the ground. You’re about to go through these five stages of grief.

Denial

You’re going to pat all of the pockets on your person more than once. Maybe you didn’t actually lock your keys in your car. Sure, you can see that they are in there and the door is locked but, maybe you can get in through the trunk? Nope, that’s locked, too. Well, maybe if you just pull the door hard enough it’ll.. nope.

Anger

Well, now that you’ve at least admitted that your keys are, in fact, locked inside your car, it’s time to get mad. You’re going to come up with some curse words you’ve never even heard of before while simultaneously blaming any and everything you can think of while throwing your arms and legs all around.

Bargaining

Okay. Okay. You promise to never, ever, ever be mean to anyone ever again as long as the next time you pull your truck handle, it opens. Okay, you promise to go to church every Sunday as long as you can just somehow jimmy down the window enough to fit your hands into it. This isn’t working.

Depression

This is the stage where you pretty much decide that you’re going to lose your job because you won’t be able to get there on time and you might as well just leave your car where it is because it’s not like you’re ever going to be able to pay for it now that you don’t have a job so you just sit there and cry.

Acceptance

Alright, there’s nothing you can personally do to get into the car. You won’t be losing your job, you just have to let them know you’ll be a little late. All you have to do is call 24/7 Emergency Locksmith at (484) 891-1922. We’ll be on site in 20 minutes and you can have some peace of mind.
