A lost key or a jammed lock can leave your bike chained to a rack, or your storage unit shut with your things behind the door. We cut off bike locks, e-bike locks, padlocks and storage unit locks, on site, once you show us the lock is yours.
Most of these calls take minutes once we’re there. U-locks, chains, cable locks, folding locks and disc locks all come off, and so do the padlocks on units, gates, sheds, lockers and trailers.
We remove the lock without cutting into the bike frame, the storage door or the hasp behind it. Where a padlock can be opened instead of cut, we open it, which leaves you with a lock you can still use.
Before we cut anything we ask for proof of ownership: a receipt, a photo of you with the bike, a storage unit rental agreement, or ID that matches the unit’s records. It protects you as much as anyone else.
Bike and e-bike locks
U-locks and heavy chains are built to beat bolt cutters, which is why they beat most people who try at home. We bring the right cutting tools for hardened steel and work with the frame and wheels protected.
E-bike frame locks and battery locks are a special case. Many are keyed into the frame or the battery housing, and cutting them wrong damages the bike. We open or remove those with care, and we can often cut a replacement key instead of destroying the lock.
Storage unit and gate padlocks
Storage facilities usually require the renter, not the office, to deal with a lock when the key is lost. We meet you at the unit, confirm you’re the renter and cut or open the padlock. Disc locks, the round padlocks most storage units require, are routine work for us. Bring a new lock or ask us for one so the unit isn’t left open.
What it costs
Removal is priced as one job, not by the minute, and it costs the same during all of our hours of operation. Tell us what kind of lock it is when you call and we’ll give you our pricing structure up front. If a padlock can be opened and kept, we’ll say so.
If you’d rather keep the lock, ask about a replacement key. For many padlocks and some bike locks we can cut a key to the lock so nothing has to be destroyed. See key duplication for copies of keys you still have.
Call (484) 891-1922 and tell us where the bike or the unit is. We come to you anywhere in the Lehigh Valley, Easton to Kutztown.

Lock removal questions
Will cutting the lock damage my bike or unit?
No. We cut the lock, not what it’s attached to, and we protect the frame or door while we work.
What proof do you need?
Something that ties you to the item: a receipt, a serial number, a registration, a rental agreement or a photo with the bike. For a storage unit, the facility office can usually confirm you on the spot.
Can you open a combination padlock without cutting it?
Often, yes. Many combination and keyed padlocks can be opened and reused. We’ll tell you before we cut.
Can you come out in the evening?
Yes. We answer calls Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 9 PM and Saturday from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and a removal at 8 PM is priced the same as one at noon.
