Commercial lock rekeying in the Lehigh Valley
Rekeying changes the inside of a lock so the old keys no longer work. The hardware stays on the door and you get new keys. For a business it’s the standard answer when a key is unaccounted for, and it causes far less disruption than replacing the locks.
When to rekey a business:
- An employee with a key has left
- A key was lost or stolen
- You took over a space and don’t know who has copies
- A contractor or cleaning service no longer needs access
We rekey at your location and cut the new keys on the spot.

Planning a rekey
Tell us how many locks there are and who needs a key afterward. If several doors should work on one key, or if managers need more access than staff, we can set that up during the rekey. For larger buildings, see master key systems.
Rekeying only works on locks in good condition. If a lock is worn or damaged we’ll point it out and go over commercial lock installation.
Keeping track of keys after a rekey
A rekey is a good moment to decide how many keys exist and who holds them. We cut the number you ask for and nothing extra. A short list of key holders, kept somewhere safe, makes the next staff change much simpler.
If keys keep going missing, ask about restricted keys. These can only be copied with your authorization, so a key handed to an employee can’t be duplicated at a hardware store. They’re part of the high-security hardware we install.
Call (484) 891-1922. We’ll explain our pricing structure and give you an estimated arrival time. Urgent rekeys carry no extra charge.
