Lost or Stolen Chrysler Keys
Chrysler calls its immobilizer Sentry Key, and most models since the late 1990s have it. The car reads a chip in the key each time you start it. A new key has to be introduced to the car with a programmer, which is the part a hardware store can’t do.
While the programmer is connected, we can remove a lost or stolen key from the car’s memory. We can also rekey the door locks, so the missing key neither starts the car nor opens it.
Broken Chrysler Keys
Don’t throw out a broken key, however small the pieces. The blade shows us the exact cuts, and copying them is faster than working them out from the lock.
Pod-style fobs wear out in their own way. The buttons stop responding, or the case splits and the emergency blade falls out. We replace and program those as well, and our key fob page explains the options.

Which key does my Chrysler take?
Chrysler used the fobik, the fob that pushes into the dash and turns, through the early 2010s before moving to a push-button smart key. The pattern for the Chryslers we see most:
- 300: 2008 to 2010, a fobik. 2011 on, a push-button smart key.
- Town & Country (2008 to 2016): a fobik with the power-door and liftgate buttons.
- Pacifica (2017 on): a smart key on every trim, including the Hybrid. The Voyager uses the same key.
- 200: 2011 to 2014, a fobik. 2015 to 2017, a smart key.
- Sebring and PT Cruiser: a chip key or remote-head key, with the 2007 to 2010 Sebring on a fobik.
