Lost/stolen Car Key Replacement

Most models for Kia made after 1998 are now made with an extra layer of security called the immobilizer. This new feature communicates with a special chip that is inside your key. The key responds to a recognized code in the car, or the car will not start even if the key turns in the ignition.

We are able to erase the old key in order to prevent anyone who might have stolen or found you lost key when we program in a new car key. This will prevent anyone from being able to take your car if they find the old key.  We can also add an additional layer of security by changing the wafers inside the door locks so that the lost key will not be able to turn in the locks.
