Mercury Car Key Replacement

Automotive Locksmith

Top Rated Nationally, But Local To You

Mercury built its last car in 2011, and a lot of Grand Marquis, Sables and Mariners are still daily drivers in the Lehigh Valley. We make keys for them at your location. Milan and Mountaineer owners can call as well.

Mercury was a Ford brand, so Ford dealers can sometimes help, though a mobile locksmith saves you the trip. The other makes we handle are on the car key replacement page.

Most Mercurys use an edge-cut key with a chip in the head. It looks like an ordinary key, and the chip is what the car is checking for. Later models moved to a laser-cut blade. We cut both kinds in the van and program the chip through the car.

Lost or Stolen Mercury Keys

If no key is left, we cut one from the lock or the key code and program it on site. Mercurys from the late 1990s on generally have Ford’s anti-theft system, and a key without the right chip will crank the engine and never start it.

A stolen key can be erased when the new ones are programmed. We can also rekey the doors and the trunk, which matters on a Grand Marquis where the same key opens both.

Broken Mercury Keys

Bring us the pieces of a broken key and we’ll copy the cuts. If the key has gotten hard to turn, the ignition cylinder may be worn. That’s common on older Fords and Mercurys, and we handle ignition repair on site.

Call (484) 891-1922 with the year, make and model for pricing and availability on Mercury keys. You’ll also get an estimated arrival time before we leave. We work in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton, and in towns like Northampton and Bath.
