Buick Key Replacement That Comes to You
Buick has used several key systems over the years, and we make keys for most of them. An older LeSabre or Park Avenue takes a different key than a newer Enclave or Encore. We sort out which one you have over the phone and show up with the right blank. See everything we cover on our car key replacement page.
The work is done at your car. Our locksmith cuts the key in the van and programs it with the car right there, so you don’t pay for a tow or give up the car for a few days.
Many older Buicks use a VATS key, the one with a small black pellet set into the blade. The pellet is a resistor, and the car checks its value before it lets the engine start. There are 15 possible values. We measure yours and cut a key with the matching pellet.
Later Buick models switched to chip keys, then to push-button start with a smart fob. Both have to be programmed to the car. Our van carries the programmer and a high-security cutter for the newer side-milled blades.

Lost or Stolen Buick Keys
No key at all? We can still make one. We get the cuts from the lock or the key code and build the key from nothing. Have your license and proof the Buick is yours, like the registration or title, ready when we arrive.
On chip and smart key models, we can clear the lost key out of the car’s computer while the new one is being programmed. After that the missing key will not start the engine.
If you think someone has the old key and knows the car, we can also change the wafers in the door locks. The old blade then stops turning in them.
Broken Buick Keys
A cracked or snapped Buick key still tells us a lot. We read the cuts from the pieces and copy them onto a new blank, which is quicker than starting from the lock.
When you call (484) 891-1922, have the year, make and model ready. That’s what pricing and availability are based on, and you’ll hear both before we head out. We cut and program Buick keys across the Lehigh Valley. Look up your town on the areas we service.

Buick Keys by Model
Here are the Buick models that come up most on our calls. Not listed? The year and model are all we need to check.
Models
LaCrosse, Enclave, Encore, Regal, Verano, Lucerne, LeSabre, Century, Rendezvous and Park Avenue.
What we’ll ask you
The year, make and model, where the car is parked, and whether you still have a working key. With those we can give you pricing and availability on the same call. We confirm lawful possession of the car as part of the job.
Questions Buick Owners Ask
Could a worn key be why my Buick won’t start?
It could. Keys wear down and so do ignition cylinders. We test the key first, then the cylinder, and fix whichever one is at fault. Our ignition repair page explains the rest.
How do I know which key my Buick LaCrosse takes?
You don’t have to. Give us the year and model and we look it up before we head out.
What if the new Buick key stops working?
Parts are guaranteed against factory defects, and our work is guaranteed against faulty craftsmanship.
Is it easier to get a second Buick key while I still have one?
Yes, and it is the best time to do it. We duplicate the blade from your key and pair the new one to the car, so you are never down to zero keys.
