Jeep Key Replacement, Wherever the Jeep Is
Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Liberty, Compass, Patriot. We cut and program keys for most Jeeps, and we do it on site. A locksmith drives to you with the key, the cutter and the programmer. Our car key replacement page lists other makes.
Jeep keys get lost in places other keys don’t: on a trail or somewhere under the soft top. Wherever it happened, we come to where the Jeep is parked now.
The key type depends on the year. Older Jeeps take a chip key with a regular blade. Many from the late 2000s use a pod-style fob, and newer ones have push-button start. We ask the year first so the right one is in the van.

Lost or Stolen Jeep Keys
With every key gone, we make one from the Jeep itself. The lock or the key code supplies the cuts.
Most Jeeps since the late 1990s have the Sentry Key immobilizer. It reads a chip in the key, and an unprogrammed key will crank the engine and stall. We program the new key so it starts and stays running.
A lost key can be erased from the Jeep’s memory in the same session. It won’t start the engine again, even if someone finds it.
Wranglers with removable doors and tops see more lock wear than most vehicles. If you want the old key locked out of the doors, or a door lock has gotten stiff, we can rekey or service it. See car lock repair.
Broken Jeep Keys
Hang on to a broken key. We read the cuts from it and make the new blade to match.
If a piece is stuck in the ignition or the door, we remove it on site and then cut the key.
