Volkswagen Car Key Replacement
Automotive Locksmith
Top Rated Nationally, But Local To You
Volkswagen keys take more specialized equipment than most. We work on them from our van, and we start with the year, make and model. Jetta, Passat, Golf, Beetle and Tiguan owners can call for pricing and availability on their car.
When it is, we come to the car and you skip the tow to a dealer. Our car key replacement page covers the makes we see most.
The familiar VW key is a flip key. Press the button and a laser-cut blade swings out of the remote. The blade has a track milled into its face, which needs a high-security cutter. Inside the remote is a chip that the car’s immobilizer checks at every start.

Lost or Stolen Volkswagen Keys
Most Volkswagens since about 2000 have an immobilizer, so a new key must be cut and also matched to the car. With all keys lost, expect a few more questions from us about the exact model, since VW changed systems several times.
On the models we program, the missing key is erased from the car when the new one is added. We can also rekey the door lock so the old blade can’t open it.
Broken Volkswagen Keys
Flip keys break at the hinge pin, and the blade ends up loose in your pocket. Don’t throw it out. We copy the cuts from the old blade, and the remote half may still be usable.
Call (484) 891-1922 with the year and model and your location. We’ll confirm availability, then explain pricing and an estimated time of arrival. We serve Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton and towns like Orefield and Laurys Station.
