Lock rekeying in the Lehigh Valley
Rekeying changes the pins inside a lock so the old key stops working and a new one takes its place. The lock stays on the door. It’s the quickest way to take back control of who can get in, and it works on most house and business locks that are in good condition.
Reasons people call for a rekey the same day:
- Keys were lost or stolen, especially with an address attached
- Someone moved out and kept a key
- You just bought or rented the place and don’t know who has copies
- An employee with a key has left the business
We rekey the locks at your door, cut new keys on the spot, and can set several locks to work with one key if the hardware allows it. For a shop or office, see commercial lock rekeying.

How a rekey call goes
Tell us how many locks you have and why you need them changed. We’ll explain our pricing structure and give you an estimated arrival time before we drive out. There is no extra charge because it’s urgent.
A rekey only makes sense when the lock itself is sound. If a lock is worn, damaged or was forced, we’ll point you to lock repair or a new lock installation instead, and show you the reason.
What a rekey changes and what it doesn’t
A rekey changes which key works. It doesn’t make a weak lock stronger or fix a door that doesn’t close properly. If the deadbolt is flimsy or the strike plate is loose, we’ll point it out while we’re there.
It’s also the time to simplify. Front and back doors can usually be set to one key if the locks are the same brand. Tell us how many keys you want, and we’ll cut them before we leave.
Locked out as well? Start with our lockout service and we can rekey once the door is open. We work throughout Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and nearby towns. Call (484) 891-1922.
